Garbiñe Ortega

She has curated exhibitions internationally, at institutions including the Film Society of Lincoln Center (NY), the Tate Modern, the Austrian Film Museum in Vienna, the Pacific Film Archive, the National Gallery of Art in Washington and the Centre for Contemporary Culture in Barcelona. She was co-director of programming for Ambulante, the Documentary Film Tour (Mexico), artistic director of the Punto de Vista festival (2018-2021) and commissioning curator for Sala Z at Artium (2021-2022). She has produced films by Nicolás Pereda, Lois Patiño and Matías Piñeiro. She has edited several books, including “Jonathan Schwartz: To Light, To Love, To Time” (2019), “Meditaciones sobre el presente” (2020), “Cartas como películas” (2022) and “Somewhere From Here to Heaven” (2022). She currently lectures in film curating at Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola, is artistic director of the Dirdira project and programmer for the Encuentros de Pamplona.
