Breaking down stereotypes, analysing history so as not to make even more mistakes, recognising that there is no people that is not in debt to other civilisations. Europe itself is an example of this. It is true, we all come from far, far away, and this is why we need to be able to see how and why one travels to foreign lands, whether to survive in them or, in the worst case, to subjugate them. Human ambition, everywhere and at all times, has spread colonisation to dominate the territory it reaches. However, this is not a fact only about the past.
