A composer born in Gijón in 1970, he is the author of an opera on Jorge Oteiza, as well as orchestral, chamber, vocal, instrumental and electronic work. His work centres on the relationship between body, sound and space. A student of Emmanuel Nunes, Gérard Grisey and Claude Ballif, he studied at the Paris Conservatory and did the course in musical information technology at IRCAM.
He has been commissioned by numerous ensembles and institutions, including AEOS, BBVA, CNDM, Quincena Musical, Grupo Enigma, Nomad Ensemble, Plural, Neopercusión, Sigma and Trio Zukan, among others. His work has featured at national and international festivals including ICMC, SICMF, Time-of-Music, World New Music Days, Transitio, Puentes, Résonnances, Musikaste and Ensems, in venues in Europe, Asia, the USA, Mexico and Argentina. Since 2014 he has organised the After Cage festival as a member of the E7.2 group.
He has taught composition and arrangement at the Aragón Conservatory since 2013.
