An Argentinian writer, born in Buenos Aires in 1957. He graduated in History in Paris, and has lived in Madrid, New York and Barcelona. He has worked in journalism in graphic, radio and television formats, edited magazines about books and cookery, translated Voltaire, Shakespeare and Quevedo, and been awarded a Guggenheim grant, the Planeta and Herralde prizes for novels, The Tiziano Terzani and Caballero Bonald prizes for essays and the Rey de España and Moors Cabot prizes for journalism.
He has published more than thirty books in thirty countries. His latest – books, not countries – are the novels Sinfín and Todo por la patria and the essay Ñamérica.
