Continuous Tension
Continuous Tension brings together a selection of twenty works by recognised international artists, all from the “La Caixa” Foundation’s Contemporary Art Collection.
The exhibition features a wide range of techniques and media, including sculpture, painting, video, photography and installation, displaying the ability of contemporary art to aesthetically process the social complexity of our world.
The works offer a thoughtful, critical view of absolutely contemporary topics. Through a wide variety of approaches, the artists question power structures and explore conflicts like war, injustice, inequality, migration and the environment. Their pieces transcend the traditional limits of art to forge a link with the viewer, generating hard-hitting impressions to stimulate different ways of looking at our contemporary reality.
