Professor of Philosophy at the Universidad de Extremadura from 1984. Born in the León region of Spain in 1947. Assistant lecturer from 1975 at UCM, where he took his degree and doctorate. He was emeritus professor from 2017 to 2019, and has been retired since then. He has published a dozen books and over a hundred articles, and translated more than two dozen books from German, among them ten by Peter Sloterdijk. Speaker and for many years art critic for Diario 16, ABC and El País. He has a German training and approach. He has travelled around the world.
