Alberto Odériz sets out to bring into public the four eggs laid by an owl on a much bigger scale than the originals but with the same material, calcium. The four eggs suggest a dialogue with the ironic work of Prada Poole at the ’72 Encuentros: a strange, iconic nomadic element in the middle of the city to introduce the public to some of this year’s themes, including the fragility of the environment (“The Trees We Have Left”), the importance of crafts (“In the Beginning were the Hands”) and the migrant condition of humans (“We All Come From Far, Far Away”).
