The Hand and the Algorithm
Facilitated by:
Philosopher Luciano Espinosa and mathematician Eduardo Sáenz de Cabezón will be reflecting on the hand and human development. From homo habilis and their flint to today’s artificial neural networks. Today algorithms are like advanced, precise, automatic, tireless, voracious hands, making us wonder: What brain is behind them? Are they a sign of an intelligence that “does” but does not “know”? and moreover, does the algorithm know why it does what it does?
