A poet who writes in Basque language. Born in Alsasua in 1976, she holds a degree in Basque Philology and works as a Basque language expert in the administration.
As well as several books for children and opinion articles, she has published eight books of poetry: Mugarri estaliak [Concealed Frontiers] (Susa, 2000); Spam poemak [Spam Poems] (Elkar, 2004); Bala hutsak [Hollow Bullets] (Elkar, 2006); Souvenir (Elkar, 2008), with the support of a Joseba Jaka grant; Urtebetetze festa [Birthday Party] (Elkar, 2012); Irautera [Permanence] (Elkar, 2019) and the illustrated poetry books Zerua berun [Leaden Sky] (Mezulari, 2014), winner of the Peru Abarka prize, and Elurra elurraren gainean [Snowing Over Snow] (self-published, 2021).
She currently runs the literature blog Iparraldeko neska [The Girl of the North Country].
