Professor of Philosophy at the Universidad de Murcia. He has studied history, history of art and philosophy at the universities of Valencia, Rome, Múnster, Berlin and Paris. His work focuses on the field of the history of ideas, sociology of culture and theory of art. His publications include: Kierkegaard. Los límites de la dialéctica del individuo, La filosofía y su otro, Fragmento y totalidad: los límites del clasicismo and La transformación de la conciencia moderna. He has edited (in Spanish) Momo o del Principe by L. B. Alberti, Las piedras de Venecia (The Stones of Venice) by J. Ruskin and Fragmentos sobre el libro by Mallarmé. He has curated exhibitions including Arquitectura radical 2002, Microutopías, Arte y Arquitectura, Desde el puente de los años: Paul Celan y Giselle Celan-Lestrange, Matisse y la Alhambra and El hilo de Ariadna. He has edited the ArquiLectura series.
