Killing joy as world making project

Sara Ahmed will reflect on how and why she made the feminist killjoy a central figure in her writing, since it first appeared in her academic monograph The Promise of Happiness in 2010 up to 2023, that she finally has given the book The Feminist Killjoy Handbook. According to her: “If I have been writing about feminist killjoys for some time, I have been one for much longer. Why does this figure matter so much? Why has she become my life’s work? How do we make worlds through taking up the task of killing joy?” After her lecture she will talk with the writer Noelia Adánez.
