Feminist propositions are not limited to a single discourse: they are plural. In the seventies, feminism was a “revolution without a model” that went beyond the legacy of Enlightenment ideas and modern revolutionary emancipation movements. This was when dimensions of private life began to be politicised, questioning hierarchy and the binary opposition of the sexes. It was an explosion of liberty.
