Doctor of philosophy and sociology, writer and lecturer at the Autonomous National University of Mexico. She is one of the most important, highly-regarded researchers into the imaginary, the hermeneutics of image, symbol and myth. She has published numerous works, recent highlights among which include Gilbert Durand, escritos musicales. La estructura musical del imaginario (Anthropos, 2018). She has also edited seminal works in the arts and humanities field, such as Symbolon. Ensayos sobre cultura, religión y arte and Los lenguajes del símbolo, which includes pieces by eminent researchers in the field, and contributed to Empalabrar el mundo.
