Eva Lootz

Visual artist.

Right from the start she has been interested in the features of materials and the sciences revolving around them, metallurgy, hydraulics or mining, the effect these things have on landscape and history and the mark they have made on language. Highlights among her recent projects include “Binomio, diálogo entre arte y ciencia”, together with Margarita Salas (CNIO, 2018), the installation “Fonts vives” in the church/museum of Pollença (2019) and the exhibition “El reverso de los monumentos y la agonía de las lenguas” (Museo Patio Herreriano & Museo Nacional de Escultura, 2020) She has earned numerous accolades, including the Spanish national visual arts award. The Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, MACBA, the Chase Manhattan Bank, the Fundación Juan March, Artium-Museo Vasco de Arte Contemporáneo and the Museo Patio Herreriano all have work by Lootz.
