Miren Doiz

An artist born in Pamplona in 1980, Miren lives and works in Madrid. After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in fine arts at the University of the Basque Country in 2003, she went on to continue her studies at Escola Massana d´Art i Disseny in Barcelona. 

She won the DKV Estampa 2015 prize and was awarded grants by the Pollock-Krasner Foundation in 2014 and 2015, and by La Real Academia de España in Rome in 2018. She participated in the group exhibition La cuestión es ir tirando (It’s all about getting by), curated by Angel Calvo Ulloa, in Centro de España in Mexico in 2020. She has recently held two solo exhibitions at the Moisés Pérez de Albéniz gallery and took part in exhibitions at the Rita Urso Artopia gallery in Milan and the Carlos Carvalho gallery in Lisbon in 2019. One of her interventions was on display at Tabakalera Centro de Cultura Contemporánea in Donostia-San Sebastián for three years.

Her work features in the collections of Museo de Navarra, the Coca-Cola Foundation, Mariano Yera, the Community of Madrid (Contemporary art), CA2M, Museo Municipal de Madrid, Pamplona City Council (Contemporary art), Museo Colecciones ICO and DKV.
