Roberto Esposito

Philosopher, a major figure in biopolitics. 

Professor emeritus at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa, he is considered one of the leading contemporary philosophers. His analysis of the relations between the political notion of community and the biomedical and epidemiological notion of immunity has influenced philosophical discussion. He is professor of the history of moral and political philosophy at the Italian institute of human sciences of Florence and Naples, and the faculty of political science of the oriental institute in Naples.
