It is not a matter of “comparing” Chinese and European cultures in terms of similarities and differences, but of establishing a reflective comparison in which each thought/language is reflected in the other to probe its own unconscious part. Therefore, what we need to do is ask ourselves how to go about thinking when to leave behind our great philosophemes (God, truth, freedom), when there is no going back in the history of our questions, or when, first and foremost, we give up the language of Being in which our thought is articulated. How do we set about going as far as possible if it is a matter of questioning ourselves about what is closest to us?
