Film, seen as thought, as an image that transcends, belongs to film-makers who are exploring the possibility of a different way of explaining and transforming time. A cinema that does not set out to please a passive viewer. As in the field of the visual arts, contemporary film is constantly evolving, radically in the case of some directors, whose vision is the result of stripping down narrative and visual language to hitherto unknown extents. The most advanced film today does not require big productions, but must be taken as a starting point in the search for a new, more essential and authentic way of showing the world.
