Chiara Bottici

Philosopher and writer. She is the Serra Húnter Distinguished Professor of Philosophy at the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona. Between 2010 and 2026, she was a Professor of Philosophy at The New School in New York, where she also co-founded and directed the Gender and Sexualities Studies Institute. She is the author of 12 books: among them, Imaginal Politics: Images beyond Imagination and The Imaginary (Columbia University Press 2014), A Philosophy of Political Myth (Cambridge University Press 2007), Anarchafemminism (Bloomsbury 2021) and A Feminist Mythology (Bloomsbury 2021). Her work has been translated into a dozen of foreign languages. She has been the recipient of the 2023 New School Outstanding Achievements in Social Justice Teaching Award (The New School, New York) and of thirty-two awards for the concept and the libretto of “Menstrual Rosary” (2021).
