This was founded in 2011 by conductor and composer Xavier Pastrana. With long experience in choral music and a training that cut across the field of classical music, Xavier Pastrana has managed in a short time to make Ensemble O Vos Omnes one of the best-known early vocal music ensembles in Catalonia.
A passion for early music gave rise to the desire to connect its repertoire with today’s world, by making every concert a unique, close and moving experience for all. All the Ensemble’s projects set out to highlight early music’s ability to speak to contemporary society. By striving to recover, contextualise and create new repertoires and formats, Ensemble O Vos Omnes produces surprising concerts and recordings of enormous technical rigour.
Their performances of renaissance and baroque music in both large and small format have been praised by the specialist press. Their performances of contemporary music have also surprised, earning recognition from leading composers like Bernat Vivancos and Joan Magrané. The ability to combine technical precision with a distinctive sound and great musicality is what has led Ensemble O Vos Omnes to be considered unique in their field.
