Grupo Enigma, founded in 1995, is one of the top chamber orchestras on the national scene. An ensemble based in the Auditorio de Zaragoza from its earliest days, Enigma has cemented its position with a bold programme at a constant crossroads, where tradition dialogues with new forms of contemporary expression.
Made up of a group of nearly twenty musicians, Grupo Enigma performs regularly in the top venues and festivals in Spain, as well as appearing in recent years at festivals and seasons elsewhere in Europe, such as the Avignon festival, Bozar (Brussels) and Palazzo Grassi (Venice), among others. It works with artists like La Ribot, Niño de Elche, Paul B. Preciado and María Ruido, and with composers like Chaya Czernowin (a distinguished artist in the group), Llorenç Barber, José Manuel López López and Sergej Newski, giving Spanish premieres of works by Olga Neuwirth, Clara Iannotta, Rebecca Saunders and Carola
