Oskar Alegria

Author of the photography project Las ciudades Visibles, defined by Enrique Vila-Matas as the ‘journey of a Marco Polo with modern eyes’, he is also the author of books on cinema and a guide to wander around the Museum of Navarra called ‘Fragmentario’. He was artistic director of the Punto de Vista International Documentary Film Festival from 2013 to 2016 in Pamplona (Navarre). His debut feature film Emak Bakia baita (2012) was translated into 16 languages and won 17 awards. His second feature film Zumiriki (2018) premiered in the Orizzonti section in the Venice Film Festival and won Best Non-Fiction Film at the Seville European Film Festival. He recently finished his third feature film, Zinzindurrunkarratz (2023), which won the award for best Spanish documentary at the SEMINCI (Valladolid) and has received other awards in Italy, Chile and New York.
