The Garaikideak contemporary music centre is a non-profit private cultural initiative set up by musicians living in Navarre, the aim of which is to create and disseminate new contemporary music.
Its legacy, always linked to the creation of new heritage, can be summed up in a corpus of more than twenty musical productions and seventy original pieces. The centre is behind the NKA festival, held every September since 2015 in Pamplona (Navarre), which has included over a hundred premières of contemporary music, dance, visual art and film work.
Karmele Gómez -sinesK- paints and exhibits concurrent experiences, the result of her synaesthesia. Since 2019 she has worked closely with Garaikideak to create live visuals for a range of shows. She is head of development, innovation and impact at Kutxa Fundazioa in Donostia/San Sebastián.
