Conrado Moya

Marimba soloist Conrado Moya is one of the leading figures for his instrument in the world today, acclaimed for his extraordinary technical and expressive skills and for giving his all on the stage. He does extensive work with ensembles, choirs and symphony orchestras, among them ADDA Simfònica, Bilbao Orkestra Sinfonikoa, Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid, Orquesta de Extremadura, Filarmónica de Gran Canaria, Orquesta Ciudad de Almería, Orquesta Ciudad de Elche, Göttinger Symphonieorchester and the municipal bands of Barcelona, Bilbao and Madrid. His repertoire has been enriched by giving the world premieres of several concertos, which were also dedicated to him: the Concierto para marimba y orquesta by Tomás Marco; El jardín de Baco, by Lorenzo Palomo; Visit Spain! by José Luis Greco; and Tres paisatges pictòrics, by Albert Guinovart, the latter recorded as an album together with the Banda Municipal de Barcelona. He regularly takes part in major international marimba festivals including those of Guatemala, Chiapas and Nagakute, the Festival de Música Española in Cádiz, the Mercedes-Benz International Music Festival in Shanghai and the Percussive Arts Society International Convention in Indianapolis, as well as the solidarity movement Fair Saturday, with which he works every year.
