Teresa Catalán

Madrid and on the Music and its Science and Technology doctoral programme at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Her catalogue includes orchestral, chamber and solo instrumental works, alongside her theatrical and choral work. She has earned accolades like the Spanish national music prize in 2017, the Prince of Viana culture prize in 2021, the gold medal of merit in fine arts in 2021, the Eusko Ikaskuntza prize for humanities, arts and science in 2022 and the order of civil merit in 2011. 

She is a member of Jakiunde and sits on the advisory council to the Teatro Real and on the university council of the Universidad Pública de Navarra. She holds a master’s degree in Musical Aesthetics and Creativity and a doctorate in Philosophy of Art, both  from the Universitat de València, and gives courses and lectures in institutional, academic and artistic spheres in several countries.
