He is diplomatic correspondent for La Vanguardia newspaper, for which he has covered the main world events. He started out with the fall of the Berlin wall in 1989 and is still travelling the world today to report on conflicts like those in Ukraine and Palestine. He was a correspondent in the United States, where he covered the 11th September attacks. He published La sonrisa americana (Random House) about this experience. Journalistic ethics have been at the centre of his career. In this respect he has lectured on journalism at the UAB and Blanquerna. He also founded the wikidiario.info project about collaborative journalism and wrote the book Mentiras, viaje de un periodista a la desinformación, published by Debate in 2005, years before the rise of fake news. He has written the scripts for several documentaries, co-authored the video project La cadira de Carme and also co-wrote the Giardinetto Sessions, a series of interviews. His latest book is entitled El árbol del mundo (Libros de Vanguardia, 2022). This is a personal history of what he has experienced and thought in the scenarios that have, over the last three decades, shaped the present.
