Susana Solano will be talking to painter Carlos Velilla Lon about his work. As pictures of his work are projected, they will discuss the complexity of the creative process and the relation between object, author and viewer, exploring time, forgetting and materiality as bearers of meaning, where failure is seen as a generous gesture. These works, far from any productive logic, organise the space like interruptions or obstacles, transforming their function to another dimension: experience, perception and meaning. In her latest work, Runa, among rubble and changes, a poetics emerges in which the remains take on new content and meaning. They will also discuss Fontana, the piece exhibited at the Encuentros.
