Questioning builds a way to thought, wrote Martin Heidegger in his thoughts on technology; especially when faced with a desire to dominate or the ever-present threat of technology escaping human control. Far from taking an apocalyptic view, one might well ask what real ability so-called Artificial Intelligence has to transform societies and their forms of governance. What shift in culture and mindset a new physical understanding of the world, thanks to quantum knowledge, might bring. How time and space will be seen. The validity of the question will form the basis of a dialogue between Ignacio Cirac, physicist and pioneer of quantum computing, and philosopher Daniel Innerarity.
