Marina Lameiro
Marina Lameiro is a film-maker and producer. Her work has been selected for festivals like Visions du Réel, FIDMarseille, Punto de Vista, Open City London and MoMA Doc Fortnight, among others. After graduating in Audiovisual Communication from the URJC, she continued her film training in Barcelona and New York, completing the master’s degree in Creative Documentary and the postgraduate course in Editing at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, and as a resident artist at the UnionDocs documentary arts centre in Brooklyn.
ILLUSION IN OUR HANDS
Film is an optical illusion and we can create it with our own hands. In this workshop we experiment with different techniques and technologies to approach film as something tangible that we can create with what we have around us. We’ll play with some of the inventions and technologies that came before the invention of film, we’ll handle film and paint on it and we’ll look at our surroundings to create film.
