Beñat Achiary

Singer, musician and vocal improviser. He was a member of the folk group “Urria”. In recent years he has published countless discs with musicians from different countries around the world, many of whom have been able to perform at Errobiko Festibala, an essential musical event for fans of traditional and contemporary musics, run by Achiary himself for 3 decades. Alongside his performing work, he has taught traditional music at different conservatories in the Lapurdi region. Today, after a uniquely personal musical career in the Basque music scene, his name is synonymous with risk, tradition and curiosity.
